Officer Polk will discuss the Care Track Program by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office. It is a program for special needs kids and Alzheimer’s patients who are known to wander off. The patient is fitted with a bracelet/anklet that is then used to track them if they go missing. The program is funded through grants and is of no cost to clients. Officer Polk will speak about the program and show equipment. Also, he is willing to offer suggestions of things to do to doors and windows to keep our wanderers inside!
Monthly meetings are the first Thursday of every month at Storer Elementary School in Muncie. They are for parents who have a child with Autism or anyone that works with a child with Autism. Meetings are from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Discussion topics are highly beneficial for those that can attend.
Childcare will be provided in a sensory-filled classroom.
